Monthly Archives: April 2013

There’s a bit of a mini-trend occurring at the moment that I’m so pleased about!

Coloured shoes!! Quite a few of our brides have opted to inject a bit of Pzzazzzz (fab word!) to their day and gone down the non-traditional route of having a funky contrasting shoe. You can match to your bridesmaids, or other accent colour, or just pick a pair that you love…the joy being you can wear them again and again!!

My choice would be these gold ones by Vivienne Westwood, just because they make me smile!

Vintage Chic……

No dress of the week,

but instead an AMAZING dress from 1953.

Definitely a lesson in how to show your curves, while managing to stay on the right side of modesty, always a tricky combination!

And I absolutely ADORE that veil!!

We’re on Pinterest now!!! YAY!!

Go over and take a look at our inspiration boards, for ideas on décor, colours, flowers,

hair and beauty, and cakes (ofcourse!)

I’m also in the process of setting up a board with all of our gowns on it, so it’ll be easier for

all of you lovely brides to see what’s currently in the boutique.

And I will ofcourse be adding some kind of widget to the old blogette with a direct link to Pinterest,

but that may have to wait till I find a willing 6 year old to show me how!! 😉

Dress of the Week….SAVE 10%!!

“Kate” by Justin Alexander

Anniston by Intuzuri

Two beautiful and feminine ballgown styles in the window this week!

Kate is designed by Justin Alexander (style no: 8609) and has an organza circular cut skirt, an envelope pleated bodice and the most FABULOUSLY beaded waist!

Anniston has been designed by Intuzuri Costura. Again featuring that cinched in waist, this time with a wide satin band and contemporary bow, but Anniston has been created from tulle with an under layer that is totally COVERED in tiny twinkly sequins, the best in subtle sparkle that I’ve ever seen!

Both of these gowns are super-flattering. Great for pear-shaped girls, this style of gown will show off your small waist and skim your hips. Petite brides will also look amazing in a ballgown style, by keeping the skirt a simple shape and the detail above the waist your body will naturally look elongated and stay in proportion!

We are still running our “10% off of The Dress of the Week!” promotion.

All you need to do is order either Kate or Anniston this week to SAVE 10%!!

(offer valid from Monday 22nd April to Saturday 27th April 2013 inclusive)

Icon….Kate Moss

Kate Moss married Jamie Hince in the Cotswolds back in July 2011.

She wore a stunning John Galliano bias cut gown, with beautiful detailing and that completely reflects Kate’s personality.

And the flowergirls are so cute!

Totally in keeping with the vintage feel and perfectly age appropriate!

Good Luck…..!

Congratulations and our warmest wedding wishes to lovely Lucy, who gets married today at 1pm!

Something Blue….

How about this for a cute ‘something blue’?

Get the inspirational women in your life to write a message on the bottom of your

bridal shoes and then all of the people who are special to you are helping you walk down the aisle!!

It would be a very special keepsake to remember your day by.
