Icon…The One Where Monica and Chandler get Married

Who could forget the episode of Friends, when Monica and Chandler get married, with a little help from Joey?

It dates back to 2001, and yet this classic fit and flare trumpet style gown looks as amazing and current now as it did 12 years ago. No fuss, no frills, no ornamentation just a beautiful shape, once again proving you can’t go wrong if you choose a gown that suits you and your body shape. It was created by The House of Bianchi, who sadly are no longer around.

This lovely gown was nominated for this weeks Bridal Icon by Eve. If you have an iconic wedding gown

you’d like mentioning, just leave us a comment!

While I’m here, many Brides also ask what they should do with their gown after the Big Day.

May I suggest this…..

More Fabulous Intuzuri Gowns…..

Arcilla by Intuzuri

Beautiful and romantic Arcilla has a full ballgown

tulle and lace skirt which falls from the waist and is then accentuated by a detachable beaded belt.

A lovely fitted bodice, with beaded lace applique and a

ruched tulle overlay gives a real 50’s vintage feel to this gown.

 Alice by Intuzuri

Another romantic gown, this time with a dramatic v neckline and off the shoulder detail. The full tulle ballgown skirt is embellished with textured beaded flower appliques and a soft golden metallic embroidery. It also has a detachable beaded belt to define the waist.

More to follow from the Intuzuri 2013 Collection in the coming days!!

Icon: Bride Wars Gowns…

Two gowns for the price of one this week!

Two amazing and yet very different gowns designed by Vera Wang, as worn by Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson in the film Bride Wars.

I LOVE the contrast ribbon on the HUGE tulle gown worn by Kate,

a very fresh and romantic look but it still manages to be sophisticated and timeless.

But it’s Anne’s gown that has my vote for the Best Movie Dress Ever.

A perfect shape for Ms Hathaway, simple, understated and with such a beautiful neckline!! (To be honest, it would actually be impossible to make those two look bad, but a bit of Vera Wang clearly doesn’t hurt!)

So what would your vote be for “The Best Movie Wedding Dress Ever” be?

Do you agree with me, or do you love another gown?

Leave a comment and let me know your favourite movie wedding dress!
